OCZ have just brought out a DDR2 16GB kit (4x4GB) at what I'd consider a rather reasonable price of £246.69 (Aria pricing, and I paid not a lot less for a 2GB kit of low latency Mushkin RAM a year or so ago, the last 16GB kit I saw was a DDR3 set costing a cool £650).
Rig 1 - C2Q Q6600 with a Zalman CNPS9700 HSF, 8Gb DDR2 800, 4870 graphics, Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo, X-fi Fatality sound with a 7.1 speaker set up, 320GB Seagate 7200.10x2, 500GB Samsung x1, slot loading DVD-wr x2, Hiper Type-R 580 PSU, running XP home and XP Pro64.Rig 2 - XP2700, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe mobo, 3Gb RAM, X800GTO, 200Gb SATA system drive, 250Gb SATA storage drive

Vista will fly!
16GB?????? That's insane! (And most likely will seem mediocre by next year)

And of course, you need a 64 bit OS to use it
Would be interesting to see if it helps Vista, or Linux more
