Jason

Sorry about this - I did try and contact you, but to no avail. We were planning to do the switch on the Friday to allow the chat to happen, but a couple of issues came up which meant we needed to bring it forward.

The new chat room should be in place in time for next month's chat, though.

Did you have a nice holiday?

Have we heck!

I know that one or two issues have come up, and these will now be addressed quicker than before - please keep posting any problems and we will get them resolved asap.

Re: the T&Cs or lack of that were mentioned earlier, the existing T&Cs from the last forum are in place, but for some reason have not yet appeared. That will be fixed!

Hi, Simon

No worries.  We've got a nice new forum, so that makes up for the delay in getting the chatroom together.  I know it's a very small team at Micro Mart Towers, so we all appreciate the tremendous efforts that must go into getting this sort of thing up and running.  As it happens, I was stuck in traffic for the last chatroom meet.  I went like a bat out of hell to get there on time -- I was about five minutes late.  And then I was in a blind panic when I couldn't find the button to get into the chatroom.  Kind of funny, I guess.  Also, I know several people got the date wrong and turned up the week before!

Holiday was magic, thanks.  Sunny Newquay, and it really was sunny.  Not a drop of rain all week.  I was hoping the holiday park might've had some sort of wireless Internet setup going on, but no.  I had my laptop, buit I was Internet-less for a week.  I don't know how I survived.  It's a bit sad, really, isn't it?

Hope all is well with you and the gang at home.

Regards

Jason

Definite improvement, will take some getting used to.

As for anyone being able to read the forums, not a problem; but I think only registered members should be able to check out profiles etc.

I have to agree with the majority here and say the new design really is an improvement, seems to load quicker too.

I like the idea 'guests' can browse before registering, sort of 'try before you buy'.

Your efforts much appreciated!

At last it is faster.

Before the changes, sometimes when you clicked on a post it was like watching paint dry.

It is faster and easier on the eye.

A good job well done

I've just noticed that the spell-checker is set up for American English.  I typed 'behaviour' and it said it was an unrecognised word and gave a suggestion of 'behavior'.
