Actually, I just thought of something. What's to stop people buying the mag and only getting it when the CD's are released? I know you'd not get all the news and stuff, but if people only want the articles then they could do this which would decrease MM's revenue... |
But the cds would take time to be put together, thus released after the magazine is released so MM sales shouldnt be harmed that much. The cd is just for easy archiving etc..

OK, had an idea. Instead of having a disc with all the articles on, how about releasing a spreadsheet or database once a month or so (downloadable or bought on CD) that has a complete index of what's in the articles, but not the articles themselves. That way, those of us who collect them, can keep them intact and know whats what, and those who are missing an article can buy the back issue.
That'll solve any issues of people not buying the mag but getting the CD with all the articles on.

Bundles of mags is really not a problem, just box them up or something, I do. And you can get back issues if you miss something you want (god forbid you miss an issue).

depends how far back the issue was, also do people really want to buy a cd that just contains 'instructions'. you could probably fit that information on a floppy....

Hi you can view most if not all the back issue articles, through the website, just type in a keyword like network in the Websearch and 'voila', there is a whole gamut of information, reviews, features, products, classifieds etc.
You can then browse the back catalogue to your hearts content.
CD who needs it?
