First just download ftp://alien.ssl.berkeley.edu/pub/setiathome-3.08.i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.

You will need to do the following on the command line.
Put the downloaded file somewhere then you need to decompress it.

Do 'tar -xf setiathome-3.08.i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar'.

Then do 'cd setiathome-3.08.i686-pc-linux-gnu'.

You can then run seti@home by doing './setiathome'. The first time you run it, it will guide you through setting it up for your Seti account. Note that there is no graphical interface (well there is, but I couldn't get it to work).

To close the application, just press control-c.

Hope this helps.
