Does anyone else think a single page Mac Mart as one of the mag's regulars would be a good idea? Anyone?

I know people who would appreciate a Mac page, but to be honest Mac users tend to be a funny lot so who knows - if there seems to be interest in it. The problem, I gather, is generating the interest and maintaining it.

Regards,

Shaun.

I don't use a Mac at home at the moment, just at work for some DTP and graphics. But I'd definitely be interested in seeing a regular Mac column in Micro Mart. There must be more Mac users than there are Amiga users, so it makes sense to have as much coverage of Apple computers.

We actually use to run a feature called Mac Matters on a regular basis in the magazine; sadly, it didn't get much interest in the magazine, and thus is went to the great article pile in the sky. Whenever we've tried to generate more Mac content, again, we dodn't seem to get much interest in it.

Willing to be proved wrong, though...

Being a Mac user myself, I would strongly recommend a Mac page. I mean its only 1 page.

Why create a mac section for this forum if there isn't any customers interested in Macs??

Surely 1 page is the least that Micro Mart could do for its Mac customers.

Regards, Robert.

Hmmm! a mac page is a good idea

Talking from my end, I use PC and Mac, AZERTY and QWERTY (live in France!) and have a battery at work of a PC in one corner on a teachest and the Macs all live on the desks (a PM9600-G3-400; PM9550-G3-400; a Performa 5200CD and a Mac SE30 just to show them Froggies what a REAL computer looks like!)

Time allowing, I could have my arm twisted to help out, being a patriotic english gentleman, which means will do most things for money! but it probably would be a good idea to have two or more people writing the columns as my company is new (04/04/05) and would like to pay my social charges on time!!!!!

OK?

I've currently got, and have had for some time, a number of freelancers practically begging to write a Mac page for us, but it's a tough one. Unlike Amiga, Retro etc when they started up, there are already several Mac publications in existence, and I wonder whether that accounts for the limited response we've had when we've run Mac columns before.

However, it seems there's a groundswell of opinion that reckons we should give it a go, so perhaps we'll try it on a six-week trial and see how it goes. Watch this space....

Froggies? Hm. I guess we'll have to hope no-one in France has found this forum whilst trying to sort out a problem. If they have, are they likely to return, do you think?

Sorry.
