Still doesn't seem to be much interest for a Mac page, so we'll leave it for the time being. We're persuadable though, if enough people declare an interest.

OK, all understood Oldphart... sounds like a 'G3 or a G2' to me... Viva Colussus and Bletchley Park, nothing can ever replace the visions of a 813 going blue around the edges and the wonderful whiff of hot heaters, glowing cathodes and 4-400A's pumping pure power in the wind Derek (G4EZZ) now a proud owner of a Performa 5300, with TV tuner, ADSL and AV/DVD modules in the rear of the 5300, all of which never seen before

I have to admit I rarely venture here, spawn of the devil and all that stuff, but the mention of blue gassing and red hot anodes jogged a memory from long ago.
A fine 6146 to you, sir, with a side order of 7193's and a couple of EF50's on the side! BTW, the pix is a 5V4G (my last one )

I would've thought a console page (PS, XBox etc) would be more relevant and generate more interest, even among the PC crowd. Certainly I'm more interested in new technical developments in that area than Macs. I have nothing against Macs, so I think they should be allowed a dignified death. Even Apple seem to be diversifying and sidling out of that market. (*Runs for bunker*)

Ah the EF50!! Memories of trying to build a TV set in 1953 from surplus radar equipment using thousands? of EF50s and a VCR97 electrostatic tube. No it didn't work.

Greetings all! The 5300 has gone to a new owner, the 5200 to the workshop for QRP PSK working on HF! atteched to a venerable FT101 (found a module to build) and as nobody wanted my 8500 that's been cannibalised into my server, two chains of 10 and 15000 rpm scsi's at 18 to 72Gb and Quark Express still wont open.. anyone got a spare installation disk for QuarkExpress4 especially as Quark want over £100 just to transfer a licence. New valve project involves the G4EZZ Mk2 HF set based on a 1941 design for the OAS/SOE 'spy' sets, they made the B1 and B2, but this is the project B4-2000, being made in 2005! Derek (MacMan35)

I would definitely be interested in a Mac page. I was at one point going to create a small fanzine called This Old Mac dedicated to the people out there who dont use OS X but my G3 Mac which I had it prototyped on died and totally trashed my hard drive... Never mind.
My own fault should have backed it up really.
Oh Globbits!!!
