I wouldn't mind knowing the price too just out of interest as I have a working one up in the loft complete with a Plus one (?) expansion box and tonnes of software. Don't think I'd ever sell though, I got rid of my ZX81 and all of the addons that I had for that in order to pay for the Electron and I wish I didn't. Got mine from WH Smith in Croydon on the 23rd of March 1984 (Still have the receipt £199.00) a wet windy day and the buses were on strike and I had to walk home with it under my arm for about 2 hours, oh those were the days!

Unfortunately Electrons aren't really worth very much. They tend to go for between £5 and £15 on eBay.
But if you've also got expansion units, software and/or the original box, that will increase the price - not up to £199 though!
I keep meaning to try and get expansion packs for my Electron... I'm trying to build a full set including an original box, all original manuals, and one of each model of expansion unit.
There's something attractive about having a machine older than I am...

How depressing. I wish I didn't remember my ZX80! Actually, I would rather forget the speccy as all I ever did with that bloody thing was type in pages and pages of programs from a magazine that never worked. Still I suppose I owe my 100wpm to those hours!

Ah the good old days.... I remember typing line upon line of code only to realise it didn't work in the end. Sheer bliss Not sure where I stand on older than zx80 though, I have got my old +2, which I hope still works.....

All of this talk about the good old Electron is making me feel nostalgic, I think a trip up into the loft is beckoning. The only thing I'm lacking is a tape player for all of my games (whats a tape player?!), I used to spend hours playing a fantastic Defender clone, I can see me hitting the smart bomb already..this could be fun
