About £250 - £300 or so for the first box (a good basic system) , but the warranty is a little on the thin side at 30 days. I'd go for 90 if it's feasible to do so (improve your customers' confidence in the product) and maybe offer some upgrade options (CDRW, better graphics card etc). The spec for box 1 is virtually the same as what we have for the majority of our student classroom machines (K6-2 500's but with 128MB RAM) and they are good for most things except maybe running the latest games. The second one should appeal to the gaming/experienced user market, so £700 - £800 would be realistic. Maybe go for 256MB of RAM though - that's the standard spec for all the new boxes we get at our place these days, and nearly all 'power users' that I know have that much in their machines. What brands of mobo are you thinking of by the way? We use mainly Epox and Soltek boards in our Duron and PIII systems, and they've proved to be stable and reliable since purchase.

I started up building the occasional PC for people and when I broke my collar bone I started pushing it a bit more (still outa work as it goes but got an interview on Tuesday). I wanted to use nothing but the best quality components. Because I'd seen the shoddy kind of software modems and stuff in high street PC's. BUT most people dont want it. They only care about the price. Many people have come to me and said I've got £XXX to spend and want 'this' for it. So I end up useing £10 modems instead of Diamond's etc. I do explain it thou.

As for warrenty I offer em a year on the new stuff and 90 days on the second hand gear. I've only had one hard drive go wrong (brand new seagate) after a month and I got a replacment from ebuyer who I got it off. So it cost me about £4 postage from me profit.

Generally I stear clear of generic equipment. I will only use cheap modems. Always use Crucial RAM in new PC's. ECS K7s5a mobos are fine. I keep useing em and get no probs. Like to use the Epox 8KHA+ for better PC's but generally find people would rather spend less cash. Get more and more orders in and things look quite good but I really need a proper job as my savings are going down down down and I have to get a better PC than a friend of mine cause hes driving me mad with his boasting.....

For the AMD 500mhz ,good for net mybe some old games, FPO on CPU not very good so not a very fast CPU for games.Sell from £170 -£230 no more, can build AMD Duron system with monitor and DVD for only £280 all in!.(Parts from ebuyer.com)As for the next system NOT £800!,more good games system ,but can be built for " for just over £350 ,so sell for £450-500.

GOOD LOOK.
