Aye I am gonna do it, but I'll be using Photoshop see-ing as I already have it.

Other piece of card to add to the collection.

Preferable I say photoshop cs, but gimp is probably up to the standard of what the diploma requires. I am gonna use photoshop but that is because I can already use it. Just use what best serves your needs.

The reason we recommend Gimp is that it's important the diplomas are open to as many as possible; thus, we chose a piece of software that's free of charge to users. Personally, I'd recommend following the tutorial with Gimp too, not only because the examples will make more sense, but also because Gimp doesn't automate things quite as much as the likes of Photoshop can, and it's probably worth learning how to do some things the long way round.

I'm having a go too, by the way. And no, I won't be allowed to mark my own work...!

I was going to use the Gimp, as although I have PSP, Photoshop CS and the Gimp, I've never actually used the Gimp, and was planning to use it as a training excercise

Don't know that I will submit my pathetic efforts for marking though

You've change my mind I will use Gimp instead of photoshop and/or fireworks.

Probably never use it again but what the hell.
