Anyone tried Google Earth yet?

http://earth.google.com

Bit of a bandwidth hog, so it wouldn`t go down too well with you lot who are on capped broadband

'E' is for Ethernet. Used for catching Etherbunnies, Etherfish or Etherbutterflies.

No wonder there`s so much poop on my PC these days.

Didn't get on too well with Google Earth. UK images seemed very blurry zoomed in (USA were much clearer) Might have something to with my system limitations though. P3 700Mhz, 256 Mb!!!

Only a fraction of the earth is so far included in high-resolution.

Yeah, there are regular updates available and each time there is more data added. Really amazing being able to zoom in on places like RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall and seeing F15`s and KC135`s on the hardstands. Even Saddams boat on it`s side in Basrah Harbour.

Well as Jason knows I have used Google earth to do a survey of a particular area of Spain to test it's suitability for a wireless network.

Did you know that it will measure the distance between 2 points for you?

Over 100 applications on 1 source CD:

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com

It weighs in at 121mb and produces a bootable CD with access to loads of utilities for digging you out of the mire, when your PC hits problems.
