Hi I will cut straight to the chase any advice on how long A laptop can be left running F@H for it is an ACER ASPIRE with athlon 2400m and 512 pc2700. temp should not be too much of a problem as it is in the back fridge/bedroom and should I run it battery in or out.

thanks in advance for any advice

Running from mains, does'nt matter if battery is in or out, I would leave screen open and disable screensaver and just blank screen. This helps it to run cool as possible.

Cheers folks backs up my thinking and what is running at the moment it is folding more slowly than My normal rig about 30 mins per percentage point but 5% in 2 hours 20 mins is not bad

They do get hot, you have to expect that. If you lift the tray up so that the air can circulate underneath, that would help.
