We're currently in the finally stages of testing the brand new Micro Mart Forum, which is scheduled to go live within the next ten days.
We've listened carefully to your feedback, and have opted for a customised off the shelf package, which will address many - if not all - of the criticisms that have been aimed at this generation of our forum software.
We're very close to it going live, and there may be some short down time whilst all the existing messages are ported over. Anyone interested in volunteering moderating services, please could you drop me a mail at theeditor@micromart.co.uk?
The chat room is currently around a month behind, so we'll be without that in the short term.
Thanks for your patience with us on this,
Simon

Update - we're currently targeting this Friday for the change over, so if all goes to plan, there will be a minimal amount of downtime then, and the forum will be ready for the weekend.

Ed, will we need to re-register etc. or will we just continue as normal. Will we all start from no messages and no threads started again and will it be an end to notifications. Will the majority of the site still work flawlessly with non IE browsers etc..
If we only have a couple of days, including downtime before going live, how about a few more details, before it's too late.

IMPORTANT FORUM INFORMATION
We are aiming to move to the new forum software on Thursday Afternoon. We envisage the forums being down for approximately SIX hours.
This will allow us to transfer all user details, threads and messages to the new forum.
To log on to the new forum you will need your email address and your existing password.
Any further details will be posted on the front page of the Micro Mart site on the day. Once it goes live, any problems with accessing the new forum should be directed to: techsupport@micromart.co.uk
We hope you enjoy the new forum!
