First off, my advice would be to take the HD3850 and install it into your current PC. That way, you can uninstall the CPU client which is currently on there folding and install the GPU2 client instead and get more points.
From there, you could take the 7600GT and use that along with the other components to do another build. You would be able to install the SMP client and bring in over 1000 points per day.
If you were to leave both these rigs on overnight folding, in total it could bring in nearly 2000 points per day.
You can download the SMP and GPU2 clients from the link below:

Hi and welcome to the forum Buzzcut!
Could I please know what are your PC's Specifications are?
If you don't already know, there is a Folding@Home client available if you have a dual or quad-core CPU named SMP. If you have a ATI Radeon HD2xxx or HD3xxx graphics card, there is the GPU2 Client.
Finally, if you own a Playstation 3, there is a Folding Client for that.

Hello death guy, I have read about the other versions and have downloaded a beta version of the software which i think will work on multi cored pc's. I'm just waiting for my current WU to finish before installing it, but anyway my pc specs are :
Intel core2 quad pro Q6600 @3.5Ghz
4GB DDR2 1066
Geforce 8800GTX 768mb
Windows vista ultimate (64bit)
and obviously some other pieces but i doubt they will help the folding effort, just listed the important bits.
Hopefully in an hour or 2 my WU will be finished and I can try the beta version, I have downloaded the high performance client: v6.10 beta 3 system tray client does this sound like the best version for me? and do you think it is worth me getting the gpu version as well?

Since you are using Vista Ultimate 64-Bit, I would recommend the 5.91 beta6 SMP Windows client as this is designed for multi-core processors. You can find this in the High-Performance part of the download page.
At the moment, the Nvidia 8800GTX is not supported by the GPU client.

Thanks for the advice, I have just installed the version you recommended I will leave it running while i'm playing wow and see how it goes, at the moment it is using 100% of the cpu's hopefully it will adjust itself ok when i run other programs and not slow them too much.
